Are you a fan of Boutique Style bows? Do you like dressing your little princess in pillow case dresses? Then you need to check out The Cherry On Top Bows!!!
For this week’s Friday Feature Product post, I had the privilege of “interviewing” The Cherry On Top Bows’ creator, Sally Peck!
When asked how TCOT came about, Sally credited her oldest daughter as being her inspiration. “She had lots of hair from the time she was born,” Sally stated, “and I wanted to put little clippies in her hair all the time, but I had a hard time finding boutique style bows at a reasonable price. I taught myself how to make bows for her (then eventually for my younger daughter) at prices that everyone could afford.” Since starting TCOT 4 years ago, Sally has managed to juggle her schedule between “work” (I put work in paretheses since after all, how can you call doing something you enjoy “work”, right?) and her number one priority – being a wife and a SAHM of two wonderful little girls, Stephanie (4) and Natalie (1). “I wouldn’t describe myself as a ‘crafty’ person,” she says. “I’m simply someone that likes to do things her own way and if I can’t find what I’m looking for, I do it myself!”
As mentioned before, The Cherry On Top Bows features what I think are ADORABLE products for girls! TCOT’s signature product has become the XL Boutique Style Bows (see pictures). Believe me, these bows are NOT to be taken lightly! Each one of TCOT’s XL Boutique Style Bows is 4 layers thick and measure 6 inches across! That’s a lot of quality, beautiful bow for a great price! They look beautiful attached to a headband for babies, or in pigtails on big girls.
Sally has done so many pretty combinations, she can’t even pick her favorite!! And that’s not all that TCOT has to offer. The Cherry On Top also brings you handmade pillow case dresses, library tote bags, and (my personal favorite) crayon totes (see pictures)!
Which brings me to the Product Review part of this post. During an online event a few months ago, I had purchased one of TCOT’s crayon totes, and I LOVE it!!
The fabrics Sally chooses when making up her crayon totes are just wonderful and coordinate so well together! I encourage you to visit her etsy site (found here) and her Facebook site (found here) to view pictures of the various totes (as well as her other products of course!). They are small, fold up nicely and have great little handles so your little ones can easily carry his or her crayons and treasured masterpieces. Sally makes them for boys and girls and in just about every theme you can think of and that your child will enjoy!! My crayon tote came with an assortment of crayons, a small notepad for “drawing” and a small sheet of smiley face stickers. It’s perfect for an in-the-car and/or on-the-go activity to have on hand for you kids (especially if you have to wait somewhere, such as a doctor’s office, and need to keep your little one entertained!). The inner pockets are also the perfect size for holding a small children’s book. But I love mine for a different reason — and don’t laugh when you hear what it is! — I use mine to hold my crochet hooks!!! Yep, you read right! When I’m on-the-g0 visiting family and the like, I like to bring a few crochet projects with me when I have some down time at night. I use my tote to hold and organize my hooks as well as a small notebook for notes, a pen, and a small pair of scissors. 🙂 But no matter how you use it, I know you’ll LOVE it! I’m going to purchase a crayon tote for my son in the very near future!
